Alumio iPaaS product feature highlights 2024

Explore all the new iPaaS features we introduced in 2024

Improved UI Design

Since first impressions are the ones that last, let’s first start by showing off how much we’ve improved the Alumio user interface. Our new platform design is cleaner, more intuitive, and user-friendly for both developers and non-technical users. We’re sure that this ongoing redesign of our platform will help make integrations even more simple with Alumio. While we have many more exciting design updates in the pipeline, here’s a glimpse at the new look and style of our platform that we introduced last year.

Code Transformer

As a cloud-native, low-code integration platform that’s designed to make integrations simple — especially for developers and system integrators, the Code Transformer was one of our most exciting feature introductions in 2024. This powerful Transformer allows integrators to write smart lines of JavaScript within their integration workflows, allowing them to add custom data transformations and to solve complex edge-cases. This way, while our platform helps you avoid the hassles of writing custom code for almost everything else when developing and modifying your integrations, it now also allows you to flexibly write code when it’s the more efficient option.

Inspection Tool

Debugging and optimizing data Transformers within Alumio is now more efficient with our new Inspection Tool. When building Routes and applying Transformers to enable integrations, users can focus on specific parts of a Transformer, view inputs and outputs side by side, and test individual steps without running the entire Transformer. Autocomplete options for placeholders based on input data further enhance its usability.

AI Scheduler Generator

The Alumio Scheduler is one of the key features in setting up your integrations in Alumio, ensuring you schedule your integrations in a way that maximizes time and process efficiency. In that spirit, we added an AI Scheduler Generator that allows you to swiftly generate “Cron expressions” by typing a natural language request. This innovation simplifies task automation and makes it easy for users of all technical levels to schedule integrations.

Data Engines and parallel processing of Routes

One of the most exciting Alumio features of 2024 was enabling our users with the ability to process Routes in parallel with Alumio Data Engines. The more Data Engines an Alumio integration environment equips, the more integration Routes it can run in parallel through our advanced queuing mechanism. This offers a great performance advantage to customers that need to manage a mix of real-time integrations that run constantly between applications, along with high-volume data integrations that occur in batches at scheduled intervals. The base Alumio plan now offers two Data Engines, allowing users to run at least two Routes in parallel through the integration queue. However, users can also add-on as many Data Engines to their plan as required, to scale up their integrations while ensuring peak performance.

Copy/Paste configurations

We’ve introduced a Copy/Paste feature. Users can now duplicate existing configurations and reuse them elsewhere in the platform, drastically reducing integration setup time and minimizing manual errors. This enhancement streamlines workflows and empowers users to focus on innovating with their integrations instead of engaging in repetitive tasks.

Alumio status page

Transparency and reliability are at the core of Alumio’s services. The newly launched “Status” page provides real-time updates on the uptime of Alumio services. Accessible via “Alumio Status,” users can track service health and subscribe to notifications for any disruptions, ensuring smooth operations and quick resolutions.

New error Transformer

Our new “Error” Transformer is another pivotal addition to the Alumio iPaaS, providing real-time notifications when errors occur in the Transformer chain. This feature prevents unnoticed task failures, ensuring robust and reliable integration workflows. The Error Transformer can be used to manually interrupt a route when certain conditions are met. This is useful when combined with our Conditional Transformer, for example, when the data contains certain values or when certain data is absent or otherwise invalid.
